Dr Sam Afshar is a distinguished dental surgeon with over 30 years of clinical experience. He is known for his patient-centred approach, particularly with seniors, children, and nervous patients. As a former clinical teacher at King’s College London, Dr Afshar specializes in implantology, restorative, aesthetic, and digital dentistry, utilizing cutting-edge techniques and AI.

He has performed over 15,000 successful implants and is skilled in a variety of cosmetic treatments, including Botox and fillers. Dr Afshar is also certified in Invisalign and orthodontics, providing comprehensive care for patients seeking both aesthetic and functional improvements.

He holds a DDS from Sweden, an MSc in Aesthetic Dentistry with distinction from King’s College London, and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine. His commitment to clinical innovation and excellence makes him a leader in modern dental care.

Geoff has been with the practice since the 20th century and has outlasted 6 prime ministers and counting.When he isn’t playing golf , he likes to dabble in a bit of dentistry and gentle banter with his long list of patients built up over many years. On a lighter note , with 38 years of experience in the profession he prefers to take a modern conservative approach to the many problems which present and is keen for patients to have full awareness of all the options available before making their informed decisions on treatment. To answer the question most asked will I be staying on in my advanced years, yes , I will probably be carried out in a box (recyclable).

Dr Gerard Balague graduated as a dentist from the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (Spain) in 2005 after which Gerard worked in an NHS and private practice in Wales. In 2007 Gerard concentrated on obtaining a post-graduate certificate in Implantology from Warwick University. After obtaining his certificate Gerard worked in London for 2 1/2 years in a general dental practice, concentrating on Periodontics and implantology.

Gerard moved back to Spain to start a full time 3 year Masters in Implantology: Oral Surgery, Prosthetics and Periodontics. During this time Gerard also completed a post-graduate certificate in forensic dentistry and a Master’s degree of basic research in Dentistry and Biomedicine. Gerard is currently working as a clinical teacher at King’s College Hospital where he finalised a Master of Arts in Clinical Education in 2017 at the same institution. Since then, Gerard has becomes so passionate about teaching that has started a PHD in Spain in 2019.

Gerard´s main current interests in dentistry are the treatment of gum disease as well as placing dental implants where missing teeth are to restore the dentition.

Iva is our in house Dentist with special interest in Orthodontics. From early years of her training, her special interests always were cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics. Coming from a family of dentists and working in her mother’s family practice, Iva’s approach to the patients is as if they’re family. She has over 9 years’ experience in dentistry and has received her MDSc in Orthodontics in 2014. In 2017 she finished her Specialty Training in Orthodontics. Iva first came to London as an Educational Grant Awardee by The British Orthodontic Society to attend the 8th International Orthodontic Conference and finally settled here to accompany her husband. She’s a certified Damon braces provider, as well as Incognito and Win(lingual braces) provider. Iva is an advanced provider of Invisalign, and she has completed the highly regarded European Masters in Aligners course here in London.

​Iva is a member of the European Orthodontic Society, American Association of Orthodontists, World Federation of Orthodontists and the British Lingual Orthodontic Society. She enjoys working with children and is an expert on the interceptive treatment as well as both labial and lingual appliances.

Graduated in Skopje-Makedonija-Former Yugoslavia. In London, she completed the International Qualifying Examination held by the GDC and became fully registered with the GDC.

After almost 30 years of dental experience she still has a strong commitment to postgraduate education and has attended numerous courses specializing in Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry, Facial aesthetics-Botox.

She believes in preventative dentistry for the whole family, ensuring that each patient has personalised dental treatment.

Outside work she enjoys gardening, cycling and interior design. She is a big music and movie fan and likes to travel and explore new places.

Tharini qualified as a dentist in the UK since 2008. She prides herself on her calm and empathetic approach towards her patients. Over the years she has developed a great interest in aesthetic dentistry in particular.

Having completed her Postgraduation in Advanced Operative Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry from Aspire Dental Academy – she has carried out many different types of cosmetic cases such as composite build ups (re-shaping the teeth with white fillings), veneers, Emax onlays, bridges and crowns.
She completed her postgraduation in fixed orthodontics and removable clear aligners from Cephtactics in 2022.

She’s also a certified Spark Advanced provider, which means she is able to offer her patients the confident smile that they deserve through minimally invasive dentistry, something we call ‘the famous ABC’: aligning the teeth straight, bleaching them to make them white and bonding them with composite fillings to beautify the teeth.

When she’s not at work her two children keep her very busy, but she also tries to find time to bake and her biggest passion is cooking. She is also trilingual and fluent in 3 languages!

Sahar graduated with a BSc in Chemistry in 2009. Her interest in science made her pursue her career in dentistry. She was a senior dental nurse for four years before starting to study Oral Health Science (BSc) at the University of Highlands and Islands (UHI) in Scotland.

Over almost a decade, Sahar has gained valuable experience in treating Periodontal disease and dealing with extreme cases such as dentally anxious patients, and children with special needs.

Sahar’s interest in Facial Aesthetic treatments caused her to take various post-qualification courses and update her knowledge with cutting-edge methods of treatments.

Adela has been working in this field of dentistry since 2016 and qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2017 when she received the National Diploma in Dental Nursing. She developed a thorough understanding of patient requirements over the years.

She joined Crown Clinic London in 2019 where she enjoys taking great care of our patients in her role as a Head Nurse. Also, she has a keen interest in learning and developing new skills and provide support and direction to enhance the performance and knowledge of the nursing team.

In her free time, Adela enjoys playing instruments, travelling and spending time with her family.

Maryam combines 10 years of leadership experience as a former Office Manager with a Master’s in Management and specialized dental nursing training from London. She is dedicated to ensuring a smooth and caring experience for every patient at our clinic. When she’s not at work, you’ll likely find her at the pool, exercising, or enjoying quality time with her husband and child.
